Teresita and I attempted to do the zip line together and she was so brave in climbing up the tower all by herself but as soon as she got to the top I think the view kind of scared her. I don't blame her, it made me a little nervous as well! After Brad and Manuel went together and I took my turn (sans Teresa) we headed to the trampoline where she parked it for the rest of the day and burned off some of that 5 year old energy she had bottled up.
After lunch we got to spend some time talking in detail with our families and really finding out how we can be praying for them. Brad made a great connection with Teresa's brother, Manuel, and we found out that while he is sponsored through Compassion his family unfortunately doesn't write to him. Her sweet older brother was so overcome with emotion that he brought all of us to tears and it really put an imprint on our hearts to find out how much those letter truly mean to them. It definitely convicted us on how much we have written in the past. We will be making that a priority in our lives going forward.
The rest of the afternoon was spent saying our goodbyes. (hence the puffy eyes) We had such a wonderful trip and came back changed for the better. We just pray that we get to go back in the near future!

This last photo is just to show off our wonderful translators that were such a blessing over those five days. Without them we wouldn't have been able to speak to our families at all. I've never met such loving people and they were true examples of what our Christian walk should look like.
P.S. - Tatiana (who is a photographer on the side) took the majority of the pictures for me in this post. So thankful for her and her talent!
