Nothing makes me happier than when I can stretch a few more meals out of what we have left in the fridge. I've come to loathe grocery shopping. Unless I can do it at 6:00 in the morning and have the entire store to myself (which doesn't happen often) I'm usually dragging myself there because there is nothing of nutritional value to eat in the house.
Having to dodge other shopping carts in EVERY aisle and quietly trying to nudge a woman (who is on her phone yapping away) out of the way so I can get to Harvey's olives (that she requests with every meal) wears on my patience quickly.
Thankfully I've got a good little eater that allows me to stretch out the time in between those dreaded shopping trips. She's always willing to eat what I've got on hand and for the most part without complaining. As long as I'm willing to eat it she will follow along, which has actually made me eat healthier. A good perk of having kids. I'm quite sure the next Bloss baby won't be quite as accommodating.
