Our New Years Eve celebrations have slowly become exactly what my 22 year old self would have laughed at:
- BBQ take-out eaten at home on the couch
- Brad and I feverishly working on a 1000 piece puzzle with our goal
being to finish it before 2014
- Harvey watching the movie "UP" so that we can give 110% attention
to the puzzle (judge if you must)
- And us giving up at about 9:00 and deciding to crash for the night
It was just what we needed after a busy week back in KS with all these crazy kiddos! (Somehow I missed getting a picture of my side)
Poor Kayla got passed around a lot and Harvey thought that she was basically hers, along with everything else these days. It does give me a little hope that she will enjoy having her brother around!
I've done a terrible job at blogging over the last 8 months or so. I think with not feeling good over the summer and then just getting busy through the holidays I let things fall by the wayside. But we're on to a new year and that means starting fresh!
And to keep myself motivated I'm going to start a 52 week photo challenge. I know there are lots of them out there but I plan on doing a portrait of my kid (soon to be kids!) and then something that I find beauty in once a week. I'm guessing a lot of those pics will have to do with food because that is what I enjoy!
Here's to figuring out how to use my camera and lenses better and just maybe learning how to edit correctly.
