Easter Weekend

Most holidays I live to cook indulgent food and be able to enjoy leftovers for days. But this year with a husband who had his wisdom teeth pulled just days before Easter and me, whose late-pregnancy stomach seems to get heartburn at even the thought of most foods, I decided to just keep it low key and dine on what we had in the fridge.

Easter here was pretty cold but the day before we had perfect weather and tried our best to make the most of it. We got Brad out of bed (he was actually raring and ready to go after two days of pain pills and icing his face) and walked over to the Easter Egg hunt near our house.

We wanted to keep the day going so we grabbed some lunch and headed out to the land to enjoy some lunch and tree climbing. Thankfully the rock roads put Harry to sleep almost instantly (if it's around his nap time) so we got a little one on one time with Harvey and enjoyed our Chick-fil-a and then her and Brad set out to find a tree to climb and pick some flowers.

So many colors! They named this tree Pinkalicious 3.
Why can't the trees stay this way.

And of course little man woke up and had to get a chance to climb.
Afterwards we headed home to make our resurrection rolls and dye some Easter Eggs. While Harry was trying his best to help with the eggs we had to find something else for him to do so that Harvey could focus on the task at hand. Without a certain little boy chucking eggs into the color bowls and taste testing all the different dyes she was able to make some colorful, glitter covered eggs.

We rounded out our weekend with a wonderful service at church on
Sunday morning celebrating our Risen Savior!

We took them outside for all of 20 seconds to shoot some pics (without the warm coats) and I got a belly shot and later noticed that Harv's had mud on her leg. A couple of goofballs!
