Sick Girl

I'm not sure where the month of December has gone.  I had plans to make an advent calendar for Harvey and to make Christmas cookies with her. I had plans to go look at lights with our girl and listen to her little voice say, "gin pease," after we pass each house. Sadly we haven't done a single one yet.

Poor Harvey caught a nasty little bug and has been sick for almost 5 days now.  She's slowly getting back to herself but we've been nursing what seems to be a never ending fever and she doesn't want to really do much but snuggle with Brad and I.  Having a baby attached to you 24/7 is frustrating when you want to get things done but I know that what she really needs is for me to be patient and to let go of all those "things" I think are important to get done or experience.

Learning to not be selfish with my time is something I'm still trying to figure out, even at 21 months in.
