Birthday Boy!

Brad and I got to celebrate his birthday this year with a nice little surprise stay-cation at a local hotel! I think this was my first real surprise that I've ever pulled off.  I somehow always ruin it. On to our night...

We made a pitstop at the hotel first for a drink and then went and had some burgers at one of our favorite joints that just opened up.  While we were eating we noticed how we've been conditioned (thanks to Harvey) to eat incredibly fast, too fast sometimes to even enjoy it. We had plans to head back and enjoy some birthday petite fours but we were too stuffed, so we decided to save them and have a little celebration with Harvey once we got home.  I think she appreciated it!

This girl could blow those candles out like nobody's business. 

We were lucky enough to have Harvey's Aunt Hebber (Heather) and Uncle Trent take her for the night for her very first sleep over.  I was a little nervous but I knew she was in good hands. Aunt Heather got conned into turning on the 'news' for Harvey at about 1:30 in the morning.  I think Heather now knows that was a bad idea. It was a wonderful and relaxing night away but we were thankful to be home with our girl the next morning.
