Aunt Heather and Mimi kept Harvey busy the rest of the afternoon with an Easter Egg hunt while I finished up some cooking. I had planned on dying eggs but decided to trash the idea and we just relaxed the rest of the night. I always love it when Harvey can get some good one on one time wither her grandparents. Especially because she doesn't get to see them all that often. It's always a good time when family comes to visit!
The next morning we sent them on their way and we headed to early church. I had planned on trying to get a couple of good pictures of us all dressed up but due to an 8:00 church service that didn't quite happen. And by the time I got home from church Harvey was down for a nap and Brad had fallen asleep as well. Hopefully next year!
I did make Harvey put her dress back on so I could get at least one Easter picture of her. I had to bribe her with the Easter candy that Mimi and Pappy left for her but it got the job done. At least to get the dress on. The pictures are another story. I'm just thankful she's happy!
It was a nice low key Easter Sunday with just the three of us. We were thankful to be able spend our morning celebrating Jesus and what this holiday is all about. At this stage of Harvey's life she's more worried about when she'll get her snack at church rather than what they are trying to teach her BUT something I'm grateful for is that they do begin to teach kids this young about Jesus. There have been moments in the past few days where Harvey would announce, 'Jesus is Alive!' all on her own. And hearing her say that makes me realize that while she may not understand what that means right now there is already a little seed planted.
Oh,, look at her in awe with her grandparents! She is so happy!
