Book Blankets and Thanksgiving Dinner

Like I'm sure most other parents do, we always check on Harv's before we head to bed for the night.  We've usually got to remove a stack a books off her bed, a pillow off her head so she doesn't sweat to death (this kid is HOT natured) and get her blanket situated.  And this night we caught her with her book placed ever so gently across her stomach.  Not sure why but I love pictures of her sleeping.  I think it's because it reminds me of when she was a tiny baby.

And on to THANKSGIVING!

Which is and always will be my favorite holiday.  It's a pressure and anxiety free day that is all about being thankful for what you have and then the most important part: THE FOOD.  We had a wonderful time back in Kansas with family but once again I didn't pull my camera out. Things just get busy and my lazy, pregnant behind was more worried about eating and relaxing than taking pictures.

Unfortunately we really don't get to enjoy any leftovers when we travel so we've started coming home and making our own little Thanksgiving dinner for just the three of us.  Our small little family took down all that food in just a matter of days.

The stuffing is easily my favorite part of the meal and Minute Rice with gravy is a must in Brad's eyes. Who has plain white rice for Thanksgiving??  I suppose we can add that to be a regular item on the Bloss family Thanksgiving menu.  Harvey has requested it multiple times this week so I suppose I don't have a choice.
